The Long Stay write original songs, which have a strong melodic quality. They are an acoutic band who have been together for close to fifteen years and are preparing to record a second album of original material. The band formed at university after several impromptu get-togethers uncovered some original materail.

Their first album "first collection" featured singles "moody day" and "in the way of all things". Both singles received lots of radio play from local radio stations. They have played live on Radio shows and festivals mostly in Belfast, but appeared a few times in Dublin's eamonn doran's pub back in the mid-1990's.

The Long Stay are constantly writing new material and are hoping to see ther material being covered by artists and bands. They don't gig as much as they used to, but are very much keen to collaborate with other musicians at all levels including writing, arranging and gigging material.
